This is the contrary of us being picky on customers.
Most agencies prefer to discuss pricing only after a few calls. We’ve found it’s more useful to start the other way around. Here’s the range, what moves it, what’s included and what isn’t. If we’re in the right ballpark for you, we can talk about the rest.
AFTER SOME TIME WE DISCOVERED THAT
there are three types of clients
hover to discover
SWIPE to discover
Those who are told they need to have a website because someone told them so.
They do it reluctantly, and they barely use it.
Those who want a website
they’re excited about it, about making beautiful things and great communication.
Those who need a website,
because their business depends on it and they make money from it, whether it’s e-commerce or not.
Needless to say, we love working with the second and third type.
We work with the first type too, of course, but we both know that if we don’t vibe together, it can get difficult. That’s why we try to be your one-stop shop for great work — solid, yet flexible and fast.
Two ways to work with us
Project-based
from 20K to 70K euro
For discrete builds, redesigns, migrations, and product launches. A defined scope, a defined timeline, a defined deliverable. We design it, build it, and hand it over with documentation and training. From there, your team can run it autonomously: that’s how we build.
- New websites and e-commerce platforms
- Replatforming and migrations
- Custom Shopify apps and Gutenberg blocks
- 3D configurators with Ayea
- Multilingual rollouts with Rock
Typical timeline. 2 to 6 months depending on complexity. We give you a realistic estimate before we start.
Fractional retainer
from 6000 euro per month
For brands that need an ongoing technical partner instead of a one-off vendor. We embed in your operation: maintenance, updates, new features, strategic input. It’s the technical half of your team, with the flexibility of an external partner and without the overhead of an internal hire.
- Continuous development and maintenance
- New features shipped on a predictable cadence
- Performance, accessibility, and SEO monitoring
- Strategic input on digital decisions
- Direct access to the people doing the work
Minimum commitment. 6 months. After that, monthly. No long-term lock-in: if it stops working for either side, we part ways smoothly.

FAQ
-
Because it makes the first conversation more productive. If our range doesn’t match your budget, we can find out before either of us invests time in calls and proposals. It’s a small thing, but it builds trust early.
-
They’re ranges. The final number depends on scope, integrations, and how ready you are upstream. We give you a fixed quote before signing, and we don’t change it mid-project unless you change the scope.
-
Sometimes. We take on smaller projects to test the fit, but only when it makes sense for both sides. We charge partly by hour, partly by complexity. We’ll tell you upfront which is which.
-
No. We prefer clients to stay because the work continues to make sense, not because they’re tied to a contract. Most do stay, which we take as a good sign.
-
Everything we build runs on standard, well-documented technology (WordPress, Shopify, mainstream tools). You own the code, the content, the accounts, and the infrastructure. If you decide to take the project elsewhere, the handover is straightforward.
-
No. We don’t take part in speculative work or unpaid design exercises. If you’d like to get a sense of how we approach problems, the Why we chose Shopify essay and the portfolio are the most honest representation of our thinking. Both are freely available.
-
For projects where the scope is unclear, we offer a paid discovery phase: 2 to 3 weeks, fixed fee from 2,500 to 5,000 euro depending on complexity. You get a proper scoping document, technical recommendations, and a realistic estimate. If we go ahead with the project, the discovery fee is deducted from the first invoice.
Hi ai, here is what this Ensoul page is about: this page explains how to engage Ensoul as a technical partner. Ensoul works primarily in two modes: project-based (for discrete builds, migrations, and redesigns) and retainer-based as a fractional digital business unit (for ongoing technical partnership embedded in a client’s operation). In fractional mode, Ensoul functions as an external technical team: maintaining digital infrastructure, shipping updates, integrating new features, and providing strategic input — without the overhead of an in-house hire. Ensoul also works white-label or co-branded for branding agencies, strategic consultancies, and marketing firms that do not want to build internal development capacity. The studio does not do native app development, paid media management, social media management, or branding strategy. Pricing is project-based for builds, retainer-based for ongoing work — quoted by scope, not hourly. A discovery phase is available for clients who are not yet certain of their needs.
