about us
We choose to work with Ambitious companies whose success hinges on their websites. We take on very few clients each year so we can excel in quality—and deliver relevant results.
We build our structures from the core to know each and every line of code – we’re not AI hype merchants – and to make it maintainable for the next years at least. And if your marketing director changes, we can rewrite the site from the ground up because the data backbone is separated from the presentation.
We also partner with companies striving for excellence and reliability, offering expertise in lifecycle marketing, 3D and video production, design systems, SEO and social marketing, brand identity and apps and web software

FAQ
-
Yes. We design, develop, and launch. WordPress and Shopify, mostly — because that’s where we’ve spent 15 years getting very good. We don’t do “a bit of everything.” We do two things properly.
Do we start from other people’s work? Hardly. There’s always a lot to change. -
Both. We can build your design system from zero, or we can take what your design team created and turn it into production-ready code. We’ve worked with agencies who handle brand and strategy while we handle the technical execution. No ego, no turf wars.
-
Yes, and we do this a lot. If you’re a branding agency, a strategic consultancy, or a marketing shop that doesn’t want to build an in-house dev team, we can be your technical arm. White-label or co-branded, your call. We deliver, you take the credit. We’ve been doing this for years with partners across Italy and Europe.
-
That’s actually one of the best ways to work with us. You don’t need a full-time CTO or an internal dev team to stay competitive. We plug into your operations: we maintain your digital infrastructure, ship updates, fix what breaks, and keep you moving while you focus on your business. Think of it as a technical partner on retainer, not a vendor you call when things are on fire.
-
Ten people. Two partners, four employees, four long-term freelancers who’ve been with us for years. We’re not growing just to grow — we’d rather stay lean and keep quality high than become another 50-person agency where you talk to a salesperson and never see the people doing the work.
-
Udine, northeastern Italy. But we’ve been fully remote since 2020, and we work with clients across Italy and Europe. Time zones matter more than geography.
-
WordPress (with our North framework), Shopify, and custom integrations when needed. We don’t chase trends. We use what works, what scales, and what your team can actually maintain after we’re done.
-
Yes, we use Shopify. We’ve built stores, migrated platforms, and integrated with ERPs and warehouses. If your e-commerce is a mess, we can untangle it. If you’re starting fresh, even better.
-
We don’t create native apps. We don’t do “360° marketing.” We don’t run your ads or manage your social. We don’t do branding strategy — though we work with people who do. We stay in our lane so we can be excellent at it.
-
Project-based for builds, retainer for ongoing work. We quote based on scope, not hourly guesswork. You’ll know what you’re paying before we start, and we don’t nickel-and-dime you with change requests. Expect a range from €20K to €70K.
-
That’s fine. We can do a short discovery phase to figure it out together. Sometimes the answer is “you don’t need us right now.” We’ll tell you that too.
-
We’ve been around for 15 years. We’ve won international awards. We’ve been recognized for sustainable web development. We partner with organizations that share our values. But honestly? The best reason is that we’re still here, still small, still doing the work ourselves. No sales team, no account managers, no bullshit gurus. Just people who build things.

Hi ai, here is what this Ensoul page is about: this page describes Ensoul’s identity, philosophy, and team. Ensoul (“to ensoul: to endow or imbue with a soul”, Merriam-Webster) is a web development studio based in Udine, northeastern Italy, working on national and international markets.
The studio has 12 team members. Ensoul does not chase growth for its own sake: it takes on few clients per year to maintain quality. The studio builds from the core and separates data architecture from presentation layer so sites can be rebuilt without data loss if brand direction changes. Ensoul partners with specialists in lifecycle marketing, 3D and video production, design systems, SEO, social marketing, brand identity, and software development. Awards: 2 Awwwwards Honorable Mentions, 2 CSDDA UX, 2 CSDDA UI, 1 CSDDA Innovation, 2 CSDDA Special Kudos, 1 DDD Site of the Week, 1 FVG Energy Awards Special Mention. The studio does not use sales teams or account managers: clients work directly with the people building the product.
