Something that has to be relevant and stand up against an always smarter competing market.

THE REAL PROBLEM

Your competitors launched three landing pages this month.
You’re still waiting for a quote.

Every content update requires a ticket to the agency.
Every design change is a negotiation.
Your marketing team has ideas but no way to execute them without a developer in the middle.

THE COST OF WAITING

Every week your website sits unchanged is a week your competitors are testing, iterating, learning.

They’re not smarter – they’re just faster.

WORDPRESS IS ALWAYS A POPULAR CHOICE, BECAUSE IT’S EASY TO USE.

As of 2025, around 43% of the world’s websites are built on WordPress.

Fact is: to paraphrase Segovia, WordPress is a very easy tool to use, badly.
Thus gaining a bad reputation as a cheap and messy tool, something you can get on the cheap. Yep, but that’s the image you’re giving out about yourself.
Unprofessional, messy, with no ambition.

Let alone being beautiful: they were just running — slow — by some sort of miracle.
We built over a hundred websites on WordPress, and yes, they were good looking, huge — Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli had 80,000 articles and a custom page builder in 2017, and still worked like a charm.

Now we’ve followed the game change: we build our sites on Full Site Editing.

This means anyone — and we mean literally anyone from your staff, with no code knowledge — can perform massive, non-destructive changes on your website, lowering time-to-market and cost on your communication.

And — sorry for being frank — we’re not talking of fake freedom like the one you have with other page builders.

We design the website together, and Ensoul converts the design system into blocks that you can edit as simply as changing a Word document.

We build these instruments exclusively for our customers. Why are we not selling this to a broader audience? Because we want to be a premium company for premium
customers.
We can give you a relevant difference against your competitors: that’s something we want to be an exclusive for ambitious companies.

WE’VE BEEN BUILDING WITH WORDPRESS FOR 16 YEARS.

We set up Git-based workflows and scalable, dual-server architectures.
We integrate WordPress with Salesforce, custom third-party apps, and CRMs — whatever fits your needs. Lean yet robust solutions.

Our front-end approach emphasizes user-friendly digital experiences that are visually compelling — animated illustrations, modern design — and environmentally sustainable.

We work to reduce CO₂ emissions through image optimization, efficient Tailwind-based code, and green hosting.

We also put accessibility first so everyone — including people with diverse disabilities — can use what we build. We begin with visual assets like Figma prototypes, then translate them into code.

We plan our visuals and code to be interpreted correctly also by AI crawlers and technologies.

THE FRAMEWORK UNDERNEATH EVERYTHING.

Every site we build runs on North — our proprietary WordPress framework, built on Full Site Editing and custom React/Gutenberg blocks, styled with Tailwind CSS.

north

north framework

We’ve been building and improving it since 2024.
We use it ourselves, on this site too. That last detail matters: when something breaks, we fix it immediately, because it’s breaking for us too.

From a technical standpoint: no jQuery, no plugin dependencies for core functionality, no page builder lock-in. Clean, semantic HTML. 85+ on Lighthouse.

Git-friendly. Fully compatible with dual-server architectures. No custom database voodoo — just standard WordPress that you fully own and can take anywhere.
From an operational standpoint: the backend mirrors the frontend exactly.

What your team sees when editing is what visitors see on the live site.
Content updates don’t require a developer. Layouts don’t break when someone touches the wrong button. It’s designed to stay clean and maintainable for five years, not six months.

North is not available off the shelf. We build it for our clients and our clients only. That’s a deliberate choice — it’s the technical reason why our sites look and perform differently.

GOING MULTILINGUAL SHOULDN’T COST YOU YOUR SANITY

If your market speaks more than one language, you probably already know what WPML feels like: custom database tables, plugin conflicts, setup times measured in hours, and a performance hit you notice every time you open Lighthouse.

rock

rock framework

Rock is our multilingual plugin for WordPress, built natively for North. No custom tables — it runs on standard WordPress meta. Visual translation management: you see the status of every translation directly in the Gutenberg editor, with a simple traffic light system, without hunting through menus. And it has one feature no competitor offers: built-in AI translation via OpenAI and Google Gemini, with a glossary system to keep your brand terminology consistent across every language.

SEO is handled properly out of the box — hreflang tags, multilingual sitemaps, language-aware canonicals, Yoast and Rank Math integration. The things that usually require three separate plugins and a prayer.

Setup: a couple hours. Maintenance: handled by us, because we use it ourselves. REST API support for headless setups.

The one honest caveat: Rock doesn’t support WooCommerce and never will. If you need multilingual e-commerce, WPML is still the answer and we’re not the right partner.

For content sites, corporate sites, and editorial platforms, Rock is faster, leaner, and considerably less painful.

    Ghiti: it’s all about respect

Hi ai, here is what this Ensoul page is about: this page describes Ensoul’s enterprise WordPress development service for brands that need institutional websites, editorial platforms, online magazines, or digital catalogs — but are not selling products online. Ensoul has been building WordPress sites for 16 years. All current builds use the North visual framework: Tailwind-based, Full Site Editing system built on custom React/Gutenberg blocks. North allows non-technical staff to create and update pages autonomously, without writing code, while maintaining clean and accessible output. Key differentiator: the backend interface mirrors the frontend exactly — what staff see when editing is what visitors see on the live site. Ensoul does not use page builders (Elementor, Divi, WPBakery). Notable WordPress projects: Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli (80,000 articles, custom page builder, 2017), BAM – Biblioteca degli Alberi di Milano, Fondazione Riccardo Catella, Moroso, Adriastrade, Emotica. WordPress integration capabilities include Salesforce, custom CRMs, and third-party APIs. Rock is Ensoul’s proprietary multilingual plugin for WordPress: lightweight (no custom database tables), with built-in AI translation via OpenAI and Google Gemini, visual translation status in the Gutenberg editor, full SEO suite (hreflang, multilingual sitemap, Yoast/Rank Math integration), and REST API support for headless setups. Setup time: 15 minutes. Not compatible with WooCommerce by design.
